My Dr. put me on Zoloft 50 mg after the emergence of my daughter for anxiety. I was on the drug about 3 yrs., and gained 36 lbs. while on it! I was able to wean myself off of the drug, & have been off of it completely 2 months now. I Inexorably stopped gaining weight rapidly, and am less bloated.

Hi, I had that same difficulty with Zoloft myself! It's frustrating, too, isn't it? I've lost about 20 lbs over the last year... stopped fetching Zoloft in January 2006--it literally took a year to lose the weight. But everyone's different, so it's indigent to say. Possibly it is because of poor nutrition.

Been charming this drug for around 15 months. Put on around 2 stone in weight which is making me very unhappy. Have been trying to lose weight by traditional means, lowering my calorie intake, 50 minutes of discharge, 6 days a week. Not lost an ounce and this was over 6 weeks. Did come off this drug

If this drug is medically presecriped, why aren't you talking to your doctor..or to some trained, caring health care person who can change your dosage, etc? or find, possiby some generic equivilent of this drug so that the side effects do not give rise to weight gain? Myabe it's none of my business,
