Side Effects Of Hills Prescription Diet Food For Dogs?

Are there any known side effects with hills prescription diet dog comestibles.
My spaniel has been put on this from our vet, since this she has come out in what looks like septic spots.
Any advice?
I am with Bobby, it's accomplishable that your dog has an allergy to one of the ingredients in the new diet. This type of situation isn't because the food is "bad for dogs" but rather that an single's body has an abnormal reaction to something. You should discuss the issue with your vet.

My current dog (9-year-old Flagrant Dane) is extremely fit, active, and healthy. It has always been quite difficult to keep weight on her. She is all muscle, and no fat. Yet she eats very well.

I approve, vets do not study nutrition. In fact some of them will even diagnose a none existent problem in their efforts to advance profits. Go to another vet and get her blood checked to diagnose her condition accurately. I think that a RAW diet is uppermost, unfortunately my dogs did not like this

My cat recently had a suspected UTI so my vet had me give her Hills c/d.
I am very especial about what I feed her and was giving her Wellness before this.
It is all she has ever known and though she is not picky, I am and I prefer the natural ingredients of Wellness to the crud I've seen
When you say "suspected UTI" what in reality did they find with a urinalysis? Are you feeding your cat dry food only? Wellness is an excellent brand of cat food and ANY dry chow is not the way to go if the urine pH is out of whack. Cats naturally and through millions of years of evolution
